Asuka & Hikaru Nakamura and the NSCF Board of Directors are presenting a special event in honor of Sunil Weeramantry, the Founder of the National Scholastic Chess Foundation.
To celebrate Sunil’s vision and impact, the Board of Directors is establishing the Sunil Weeramantry Legacy Fund. This endowment fund will support critical chess education programs that
• Help children with special needs
• Provide chess lessons for underserved students in public schools
• Build transformative community programs
Donations will directly support the endowment ensuring that every child, regardless of circumstances, can access the life-changing benefits of chess education.

Your Contribution Helps Change Lives…
At the NSCF, we believe every child deserves the chance to develop strategic thinking skills, resilience, and focus. Your involvement will help us reach at-risk youth and students with disabilities, and ensure they experience the joy and empowerment that chess provides. Your generosity will help us bring engaging and empowering chess programs to students in underserved communities, expanding their academic and social development.
